Lavinia Stamps May Challenge

Welcome to May, a new month and a new challenge from Lavinia Stamps!

This month it is all up to you, this months theme is 'Make your own Vision'.  As long as you use Lavinia Stamps, you can choose what you do! I can't wait to see what you make!

Have fun, and be in the running to win £40 to spend on Lavinia goodies!  Good luck!

Giselle is such a playful fairy; there's bubbles everywhere she goes! She jumped at the chance to take a ride in one of my bubbles, but insisted that it be fairy bubble powered!

I'm really looking forward to seeing your vision!

Good luck!

Love, peace and happiness to you,

Mandy xx

March Workshop

They arrived, ready to take on everything I could throw at them...

Not one project, but two...

At the same time!

The results were amazing!

My goodness, they look fantastic!

After lunch, we cleaned away the ink, paint and ribbon.  We got out our pencil crayons, courage and black card...

I'm sure they thought I had lost the plot.  I took them through the stages of drawing a bubble or two. They continued to follow my instructions despite their misgivings, then the magic happened...

We had bubbles, lots and lots of bubbles!

Amazing!

The bubble technique was used to add the finishing touches to the last project...

A magical combination!

Well done everyone! Beautiful work!

The next workshop...

Great news on the venue front... it's warm, bigger, has its own kitchen, parking... just about everything we could ask for!  Straightforward to get to (A6 Loughborough).  I will pass on the full address to those interested.

I do have a list of  dates for the rest of the year; they are:

8th April
13th May
10th June
8th July
12th August
9th September
14th October
11th November
And Christmas Party 9th December!

If you would like to come along to any of the above workshops please do let me know.

I hope you can join us... keep your eyes open for the next projects!

New Lavinia Creative Challenge - March 2017 Colour, Sparkle & Bling!

Good morning and welcome to the start of a New Lavinia Stamp Challenge - March's Challenge theme is Colour, Sparkle & Bling!

So, please don't forget that the winner of the Lavinia Stamp Challenge will win a £40.00 voucher to spend in Lavinia Stamps web shop, and my goodness me what a choice the winner will have!  There's  stamps and SVG Cutting Files and all kinds of exciting goodies!

Just how excited am I?  Oh my goodness me, I was blown away to be asked to join the Lavinia Stamp Design Team!  I'm just so very happy to be part of such an amazing team of people!

Without further a do, I am really pleased to show you my first two card designs for this months Challenge Colour, Sparkle & Bling...  Now those who know me, it must be really funny to see that my very first samples are covered, yes blooming well covered in that nasty shiny stuff, glitter!  I do have an aversion to all things glittery and I swear it brings me out in a funny rash every time I get any where near to it... I am currently undergoing sparkle therapy with two of my wonderful friends, Eileen Godwin and Pauline Butcher, both of them tell me that it's OK to sparkle and that in fact it actually enriches your life...   If you can mix it with watercolour, then I guess its OK with me too (just this once!)

See... more sparkle than I'm used to using!

Now don't forget to add your entry to the Lavinia Facebook page by clicking HERE.

I can't wait to see what you make and just how much glitter and bling you can get on a project! :D  Good luck!

Thank you for dropping by,  please do leave me a message.

Workshop 11th February 2017 - Fantastic Day!

Good evening and welcome back!

Oh my goodness, what fantastic results!  I though I would share a selection of the makes from this weekend's workshop!

This was the first time I had used the Boat House at The Gate Hangs Well, in Syston... they didn't warn me that it would be so blooming cold first thing!  Jules, Mark and I arrived nice and early to get set up to find that the heating needed turning on!  Perished we were! Note to everyone... don't forget your thermals!  With any luck the Landlord will remember to stick the heating on earlier for us (don't let the Chef light the fires tho!).

Our first make was using JOFY and Distress Inks... check these beauties out

What a beautiful variety!

The wall hangings are just stunning!

We used a range of different stamps for this project, but in the main, Tim Holtz Papillon stamps and dies.

Then back for another play with the JOFY stamps!

The results... bright and beautiful!

and just check out the colours in this one, beautiful shading too!

Well, until next time....

WOW!  I just love um!  You guys rocked!

Don't forget the next workshop dates are:
25th February, 11th March and the 25th March.  Please let me know if you are interested!

I really do look forward to hearing from you, so please do feel free to leave us a comment below.

May your pinkies always be inky!

Welcome!

Good evening and welcome to Create & Image's Blog!  We can't wait to share with you our workshop  details, our art work and everything else we come across along the way!

Yesterday saw our inaugural workshop, and from the feedback and bookings I've received today, I would say it went down very well!  I was joined by some very talented folk from the crafting circles I navigate every now and again, and they loved it too!

A few of us stayed behind to try the local fare they serve in the pub, The Gate Hangs Well, and I must say the fish and chippies were rather delish!

The next workshop is on the 25th February 2017, 10:00am until 4:00pm.  Please let me know if you would like to come along, it would be fantastic to see you!  Details can be found below...

We are also taking bookings for the 11th and the 25th March too, same details found above, but places are going quickly!

Over the next few days I will be posting our makes, and possibly a few cheeky photos of us crafting...

I really do look forward to hearing from you so please do feel free to leave us a comment below.

May your pinkies always be inky!

Love & hugs always,

Amanda
